You say your S80 did not come equipped with Fog Lights and you want to add them.
Here is the information you need to do-it-yourself.
Installing the Volvo S80 Fog Light Kit part# 9166697 on my S80 was easy and rewarding.
I am not a mechanic and it took less than an hour.
Preparation:
You have to remover the plastic cover that protects the space between the front spoiler and the rest of the front suspension. It is removed with 5 screws. That is all you need to remove, except for the plastic plugs that pop out (where the fog lamps will go).
Installation:
Everything is already on the car.
1. Mount the lights to the holes that are already there,.
2. Undock the wiring plug from VolvoÂ’s neat little storage spot.
3. Plug ‘em in.
4. Add the relay to the fuse box
5. Pop off the blank cap from the already functional fog lamp switch.
6. Pop in the new (illuminated when on) cover!
7. Oh yeah, you do have to pay the dealer to load the software before theyÂ’ll work.
But Volvo fog lights with full functionality (not to mention the looks) for less than $220? ItÂ’s crazy NOT to do it!
