2005 S80 Power Windows

Post by Morris » Wed Apr 15, 2009 4:49 pm

The auto up power window on the drivers side goes up to the top and then back down. Was told this is due to ice on the window during the winter and the computer needs to be reset. Is there a way this could be reset without going to the volvo dealership for service. Was also told this is not covered under the volvo certified program.

Check your warranty. My certified Volvo was bumper to bumper, less wear and tear parts, tires, wiper blades, etc. My dealer even replace the battery that failed 6 months after I purchase the car. I have a 2000 S80T6.

Don't let the dealer BS you if it is covered. Ask to talk to the local area manager or district manager. And let the dealer know you will be contacting the Better Business Bureau

1.
Step 1

Open the hood of your Volvo and loosen the retaining nut on the cable clamp running to the negative battery terminal using a socket wrench.
2.
Step 2

Slide the cable clamp off the negative battery terminal.
3.
Step 3

Wait five seconds and reconnect the cable clamp.
4.
Step 4

Tighten the retaining nut on the clamp using a socket wrench.
