VOLVO AIR TEMP SENSOR ISSUES

[S70]

Question: I brought my 1999 s70 to the shop because the check engine light was on. When he ran the codes, he said the air temp sensor was bad. Any idea where it is? I'll change it myself if I can. They want like $120 for the part and I can get it here for $30. Also, could it be the outside air sensor. I do know where that is.

Answer: If you are referring to part number 9445153, that is found in the upper charge air hose coming from the charge air cooler. That is if you have a Turbo engine and not the Denso. You should be able to change that one without much problem.
