Service Light reset instructions Volvo S40
The Service Reset light comes on at regular mileage points to alert you to perform
necessary maintenance to keep your Volvo S40 running properly.
When you do the work yourself the light can be reset with these instructions.
All models for 1999 and on can be reset by:
Turn the ignition key into position I (one)
Push in and hold the odometer reset button (use your left hand)
Move the ignition key to position II (two)
When the service light begins to blink, let go of the odometer reset button.
Confirm the reset by turning your Volvo S40 off then on again.
