VOLVO 240/260/740/760/780/940 COLD START PROBLEM

[940, 780, 760, 740, 260, 240]

Question: My Turbo Volvo starts fine in cold weather whether the engine is hot or not but on a warm day it takes 3-4 cranks to catch
and then it hesitates before catching and running ok.

Answer: Most likely the problem is the Cold Start Valve located in the intake manifold.
The reason it is harder to start when arm, is because the Cold Start Valve is stuck
open and the mixture is too rich.
