Volvo Cruise control failures

[Volvo 940]

The most common cruise control failures on the car are: pedals switch failures, The cruise control vacuum line cracks (on cars with vacuum controlled systems) & Control module failures. The pedal switch failures are the most common problem with the cruise control not functioning correctly. What generally occurs is that the pedal switches become mis-adjusted or the ears get broken off the switches causing a no contact condition. Another possibility is a faulty cruise control vacuum pump.
